Troy Natus | 1980 – 2022
Troy was known by everyone as the gentle giant — the heart and leader of Hamernick’s. A man of great stature and even greater kindness, he embodied what it truly means to be a Hamernick’s team member: dedicated, humble, and always putting service, service, service first. After graduating from Roseville High School in 1998, Troy joined Hamernick’s full-time, working side by side with his father for more than 26 years.
As Vice President, his tireless work ethic and genuine care for others set the standard for how we approach every customer, every project, and every challenge. To Troy, Hamernick’s wasn’t just a place to work — it was a family and a legacy worth protecting. His belief in doing the right thing, serving with pride, and giving your best every day continues to shape who we are as a company.
Though his life was cut short in January 2022, Troy’s spirit lives on in the work we do each day. His legacy is woven into every floor we lay, every customer we help, and every act of teamwork that defines Hamernick’s.
The Troy Award is our company’s highest recognition for exceptional leadership and dedication, named in honor of Troy, who exemplified outstanding commitment, integrity, and passion for customer service during his time with Hamernick’s Flooring. This award is reserved for employees who go above and beyond, consistently demonstrating initiative, inspiring their teams, and elevating the customer experience.
Alex Hauge’s leadership at the New Hope store perfectly reflects the values Troy stood for—he leads with purpose, intentionality, and drive, ensuring every customer interaction is handled with care and professionalism. His ability to motivate the team while maintaining top-tier service standards made him the perfect recipient of the 2025 Troy Award, celebrated at our Employee Gala.
